01 - Birth

My heart is thrust to life once more;      I feel its every swell; Ringing through my body,      like an ancient church's bell. My senses start to feel it too;      their rhythm now so clear— And all at once, I'm met      with such a suffocating fear. There's no immediate danger, and      at first, I'm quite perplexed. As I open up my eyes to see      what has my body vexed....

02 - Y

I hit the deck; a door slams shut,      and, after pause of still, scratching, scrapes, a wild boar—      the sounds I hear so shrill. I'm heaving fast; the air so cold      attacks my very breathing. I'm overwhelmed with joy at having      left those monsters seething. The noise continues onward,      as my heart abates its race. My senses swoon, relief takes hold,      a smile frequents my face....

03 - Storm

Slowly it is dawning that,      I'm living in her realm. That I'm a simple passenger;      that Y is at the helm. Should I be worried? Anxious?      For her truth I do not know. Yet fretting leaves me swiftly,      as I chase my Dynamo! We run through aisles and rows      of a dilapidated shop, until my lungs are screaming.      I lunge and shout out 'Stop'....

04 - Home

At first my eyes can not believe      the colours on display. Green and red—blue so vibrant—      mixed with gold and grey. My mind is tricked with hues so bold;      the room betrays it's treasure. The dark and swollen outer walls      conceal a lifetime's pleasure. From floor to ceiling, and in between,      the liquid colour runs, blinding all my senses,      like a million of our suns....

05 - Nightmare

I awake to see the shining sun there,      rationed on the ground. Chopped in perfect rectangles,      an arrangement quite profound. The metal grates high over head,      I saw not in the night. Now creating repetition as they,      limit solar light. I rub my eyes and stretch my back,      I feel my old bones creak. Answers to my questions,      are the remedy I seek....

06 - Cobalt

The world is dark and dingy now,      the lightning evergreen. It flashes but its arcs become,      like tentacles unclean. The vine like arms grow longer still,      and head towards the ground. They slink along the floor with haste,      while making little sound. I'm outside now and all around,      the vines close in on me. I try to run but arms and legs,      protest viscosity....

07 - Missing

My night is quick once sleep arrives,      I dream not once at all. Though part of me would wish I had,      the very nerve, the gall. I know his aim is noble,      to furnish us with fractions. That later fit together,      and explain Yolanda's actions. My eyes doth open slowly,      and haze is blinked away. And rising quick to sitting stance,      our quarters I survey....

08 - Return

I need not fret for long,      for her return curtails my thought. And striding through she bolts the door,      whilst rasping breath so short. Her body bent, she huddles      and I see she is in pain. And wonder how much longer,      standing stance she can sustain. I frown when I perceive,      the crimson colour of a puddle. Y is hurt she's bleeding,      sweet Yolanda is in trouble....

09 - Penance

How could I think her, part of this?      How could I think her evil? Her very life unto her hands,      an urge of good primeval. And now a fiend parades my mind,      betray my own position. As darkness clouds my thoughts,      and sows a boredom of contrition. I steal my thoughts and scarce them make,      to nullify her actions? A sin of great proportions,...

10 - Relic

"The relic's mine!" Yolanda roars,      the fiercest that I've seen. And makes me question if it's her,      with demeanour so serene. A sword appears beside her,      aside her figure she had hidden. And when the serpent spits again,      further tarry was forbidden. She runs ahead towards her goal,      towards antagonist. And winds her torso tight as she,      contorts with spring like twist. No sooner done, the coil prepped,...
